Blu & David Ellis

The paintings of Blu and David Ellis is a perfect example of the connection between art and discovery. The two artists developed a unique and interesting way of making the paintings on the abandoned building look like they were alive and moving. Blu and Ellis discovered a creative way to make the rotting building look like it has come to life. By painting entertaining moving faces and bugs traveling across the building, the artists have discovered a way to connect art with something that everyone enjoys watching. I normally think art is boring, but the various murals on the building kept my attention throughout the entire video. The way Blu and Ellis discovered how to manage the space they had available by repainting over everything was also extraordinary.
I think that the deeper meaning behind these paintings is the discovery that art doesn't need to be confined to a single canvas, it can be transformed like the techniques of Blu and David Ellis.
